Course Overview:
This foundational program is designed for aspiring and newly appointed high school teachers. It equips them with essential pedagogical skills and knowledge for effective teaching in secondary education, covering adolescent development, curriculum design, classroom management, assessment strategies, communication skills, and professional ethics.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Curriculum development, differentiated instruction, designing engaging lessons, integrating technology, and lesson planning. - Module 3: Classroom Management and Organization (8 Hours)
Creating a supportive classroom environment, managing routines and procedures, using positive reinforcement, and promoting inclusion. - Module 4: Teaching and Learning Strategies (6 Hours)
Effective communication, active learning techniques (discussions, debates, simulations), and incorporating technology into teaching. - Module 5: Assessment and Evaluation (4 Hours)
Methods of assessment, using formative and summative assessments, providing feedback, and using data to inform instruction. - Module 6: Communication and Collaboration (4 Hours)
Communicating with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive relationships, and collaborating with school professionals. - Module 7: Professional Ethics and Responsibilities (4 Hours)
Ethical considerations in teaching, child protection, professional standards, confidentiality, and addressing diversity and inclusion.
